Nubian Films

Bomb is proud to announce the launch of Nubian Films a newly formed entity which aims to be a premium player in the film and television space. Founded by Nomzamo Mbatha in partnership with Bomb, Nubian films is dedicated to creating bold, globally resonant stories from Africa.

Built on a belief that exceptional storytelling can entertain, inspire and shift perspectives, Nubian aims to develop premium television drama and feature films with a strong focus on discovering and nurturing new creative voices. At its heart is a commitment to ensuring that at least 60% of its slate is female-led, championing stories created by, centred on and driven by women. Designed as a collaborative co-production hub, Nubian brings together world-class talent, international partners and fearless storytellers to create ambitious, cinematic projects that celebrate authentic African narratives while connecting with audiences around the world.

Dope Zulu Boi productions

Led by acclaimed producer Teddy Geldart, DopeZuluBoi Productions has established itself as one of South Africa's leading creators of premium unscripted television, producing bold, entertaining and culturally resonant content that consistently connects with audiences.

The company has built an impressive track record across reality, documentary and magazine-format programming, with credits including The Catch, Somizi: Living the Dream (Season 5), Mzansi Icons, Lebo M: Coming Home, Mzansi Countdown, and numerous other successful broadcast productions.

A long-standing creative partner of Bomb Productions, DopeZuluBoi is now expanding its slate across both premium scripted and unscripted content. Together, the two companies bring complementary strengths—DopeZuluBoi's instinct for compelling, youth-driven content and Bomb's decades of experience in development, production and audience centred storytelling. The partnership is focused on building a dynamic slate that moves seamlessly between scripted drama, documentary, factual entertainment and premium reality television.
